My neighbor and friend asked me to help her with her search for a Pediatric llmd closer to home, which is in central NJ. She is nervous about posting here.
Their entire family has lyme, four children and two adults. The adults and older children see Dr S in Howell, NJ. However, her youngest two children (3 & 5) currently see Dr J in Ct. While we all agree he is the best of the best, she feels she cannot make this long drive due to her own own battle with lyme. It is extremely hard on her as she feels she cannot do it another time. Her llmd, Dr S, recommended Dr V on Staten Island. Has anyone here had experience with this doctor, or do any of you take your children to him.
She is also on the waiting list for Dr C in Pa. (one year).
While he does take her insurance, he is an Infectious Disease doc. But, I have heard of others here speak of him as being lyme friendly and literate???!!! I did a search and could not find many comments about him.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
