i'll make this quick.
1. have been treated for lyme since 4/06-was sick for 2 yrs before diagnosis.
2. treated by dr. m. in colorado springs, he retired in 7/07
3. working with his PA M.G.
4. had some tolerance problem after 5 days of flagyl. was off antibiotics 6 weeks-not just herxing but felt as ill as i did at the beginning. all work up normal(LOL)
5. now on rocephin 500mg/d, zithromycin 125mg 3X week. tolerating well
6. next week will add flagyl 100mg 3Xweek. will probably pulse the flagyl. see if i tolerate that way better.
7. very symptomatic of babesia, also have high titers for chlamydia pneumonoia. both need to br treated
8. if i tolerate the flagyl 3d/week will go to 5 days a week.
9. then will be on INH or medpron
i feel the treatment has helped me greatly. but after 2 yrs with same doc and my recent severe setback, am wondering if a new approach might be in order.
i live in montana but am willing to travel. im willing to do traditional/alternative. saying that i have to add, i was muscle tested 3 times and found very little improvement following different alternative therapies. but i am not opposed.
my worst symptoms are neuro, peripheral neuropathy, brain fog
if any one can pm me with some names, i'd be grateful
thanks
leogrl

I recently spoke with an infectious disease doctor in Utah who treats and researches Lyme treatments. He was telling me about a treatment that was a little different than my familiarity. He is not my doctor but I was glad to meet him and recommend him.

He is willing to tell you about his treatment protocol before he sees you so let me know if you want his name and location.
