Hello. I have an appointment with a Dr. E (female) in Jackson, NJ in a few days. I've never seen an LLMD before and am scared that I might be told I have a tick-borne illness even if I don't.

Is this a problem that people deal with? I just don't want to be diagnosed and treated for something I do not have. I'm just really nervous and would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you so much!

hi jw,

have you had any blood tests done for lyme?
lyme titre

better yet, western blot igm and igg, and WHICH LAB did this.

only 5 good lyme diagnostic labs good ...

igenex, calif.
md labs, nj
fry labs, arizona
stoneybrooke, nyc
central florida lab

you got my newbie package; look for PREPARING FOR 1ST LLMD APPT.

print off the lyme symptoms print out .... CIRCLE ALL SYMPTOMS YOU HAVE

read thru the bart/babs symptoms too ... circle them too IF you have them!

in my humble opinion; no dr. is going to tell you have LYME IF YOU DO NOT! they go by your symptoms, etc. so be COMPLETELY HONEST with them.

good luck! i see my hip surgeon tues. also. [group hug] [kiss]

also, don't you want to know what you have FINALLY! put a name on it, and then go from there ACCEPTING what we have no choice on.

you're going to get yourself into remission!!! chant that away ok! [Wink]

Hi bettyg. Thank you so much for your message. I had all tests done by Quest. Negative for Lyme and past infection for babesia (although I was never before treated for it).

I guess it's ironic...so many who have LD are told they do not, and I'm worried about being told I have it if I don't.

Thank you for the optimism. I need that so badly right now. I'm so scared that I will never get better...regardless of my diagnosis.

I just want to know and get the appropriate treatment. I hope this doctor is wondeful, honest and qualified.

Thank you, and good luck with your appointment!

I think Dr. E is awesome. She will listen to you, just tell her everything she needs to know. I think she is a sharp doctor and will know what to do either way.

Anyway good luck at your first appointment!

Well, had my 1st appt. today. Husband and I found Dr. E to be nice and a good listener.

Had my blood taken and sent to 3 labs (including Igenex).

Dr. made a change to my current abx...generic to brand doxy and 200 to 300mg a day.

Also gave 4 supplements, but I am a little unsure about taking them. I guess I should post those questions in another topic forum..?
I can hardly wait to get my results and know the deal.
