Hello. I have an appointment with a Dr. E (female) in Jackson, NJ in a few days. I've never seen an LLMD before and am scared that I might be told I have a tick-borne illness even if I don't.
Is this a problem that people deal with? I just don't want to be diagnosed and treated for something I do not have. I'm just really nervous and would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you so much!

Hi bettyg. Thank you so much for your message. I had all tests done by Quest. Negative for Lyme and past infection for babesia (although I was never before treated for it).
I guess it's ironic...so many who have LD are told they do not, and I'm worried about being told I have it if I don't.
Thank you for the optimism. I need that so badly right now. I'm so scared that I will never get better...regardless of my diagnosis.
I just want to know and get the appropriate treatment. I hope this doctor is wondeful, honest and qualified.
Thank you, and good luck with your appointment!

I think Dr. E is awesome. She will listen to you, just tell her everything she needs to know. I think she is a sharp doctor and will know what to do either way.

Well, had my 1st appt. today. Husband and I found Dr. E to be nice and a good listener.
Had my blood taken and sent to 3 labs (including Igenex).
Dr. made a change to my current abx...generic to brand doxy and 200 to 300mg a day.
Also gave 4 supplements, but I am a little unsure about taking them. I guess I should post those questions in another topic forum..? I can hardly wait to get my results and know the deal.
