My 6 yr old has lyme (rash, tests positive), he received standard treatment back June '06, nothing since.

Multiple issues, arthritis, gastro issues and his most recent disturbing visual issues. (Last summer visual hallucinations & more recently complaints of vision blanking out, blurry vision. He describes it like this, "You know when it's raining like crazy outside & you look out the window but can't see thru it? That's what I see sometimes".

Has had several recent accidents on the playground at school because of his blank outs & just today told me that his vision went out for awhile at school. Said he thought maybe he does need glasses. (We have had his eyes tested.)

Long story short. We have an appt with Dr. J in May. His visual issues are much more frequent & I'm worried sick about him. May is so far away.

So my plea for help is for anyone to point us in the right direction for a good LLMD who treats children. Our pedi is no help, set us up with a neuro (who've we already seen) in March. Says it's most likely silent occular migraines. No history here & diagnosis seems far fetched after reading symptoms.

It's his lyme, I know it. Trying to find help is frustrating.

Have gotten a few suggestions the past few days, but they are not pedi docs.

Any and all names would help. We live in MA...

Songbird, Did you call Dr J again, as suggested? Did you call the Drs I sent who are listed as children's LLMD's?

If any of those Drs said they don't treat children, would you please PM me this information, so we can make note in our listings?

Perhaps you're looking for a 'pediatrician', instead of a lyme literate doctor who treats children? There is a difference.

We're more than willing to work with you to help, but we need some dialogue.

Please PM me......
