I just went to my first appointment with Dr. C in Springfield last Thursday. He and his staff are truly awesome!

Got started on the doxy Saturday (started out with 200mg a day, ramping to 400) and today I felt like I had been hit by a truck. But I feel I'm now in good hands and getting the correct treatment.

I just want to thank everyone on this forum for their enthusiastic recommendation of Dr. C. He is super! The handouts he gives are great -- I'm still reading (and re-reading) them. There's a lot of information and ideas that he shares.

I'm also extremely grateful for the wealth of information I've gained from reading the posts and links here about LD. I believe it would have taken me a long time to get on the right road if I hadn't found this forum!

He's the best thing since sliced bread, huh?! and yes, his staff is awesome too!

So glad you were one of the smart ones who listened to us! Some people don't listen!

You're on your way to recovery!

Gail,

Isn't he just wonderful! My son Dominic sees him and we just love him to death.

Dominic has been seeing him since May 2003 and I have my first appt with him in Oct. Might sound silly but I can't wait.

Finally someone to help me and not blame everything on stress and getting older (i'm only 34).

Hope you start feeling better soon.
Starr

Starr,

I know what you mean about "blaming everything on stress and getting older"!

i was dx with LD after pulling a tick off and having the classic rash/illness, but after answering Dr. C's questionnaires, I believe I have had this for some time, just not debilitating. I've blamed all my joint and muscle aches on just getting old for quite awhile. I'm a little older than you, but other than the aches, don't feel like it!
