Many of you may remember my now 3 year old was infected with Lyme disease this summer. Well, my GP just called and my Western Blot came back Positive!
I haven't seen the test yet, I asked them to fax it to me. She was going to refer me to a rhuematologist(sp), but I was prepared and I asked them to give me a referral to an LLMD that this site recommendeed and she is going to do that.
I am so bummed out that I can hardly speak. I've been nursing my 11 mos old and should have taken care of getting tested sooner!!!
Please pray that she doesn't have it as well!! Dr. J is treating my 3 year old and I'll call to see if I should have the baby tested!!!
AAAGGGGGHHHHH!

So sorry to hear about the test results, but rest assured that your child is in good and caring hands with Dr. J. Two of my three kids have lyme and are Dr. J's patients. Our third is not showing symptoms so we haven't had her tested. Dr. J will know what is the best course of action.

Thanks cootiegirl,I spoke with Dr. J this morning and his office is sending out a urine test kit (Lyme)for the baby. Not quite sure how I'll collect the urine, but he did say the kit has instructions.

They are also sending a kit to test her for co-infections as well.

I always feel better after speaking with him!

Get them all tested at Bowen labs in FL. Best lab around. Ask Dr. J about this lab.
They just received their patent and are waiting for FDA approval.

I went to all of the other labs. Some showed me I had lyme, others nothing. LUAT had two positives in 2000. MDL worhless, BBI showed babs no lyme and so on. I went to Bowen and saw the pictures showing lyme, HME, HGE and babs. it is worth the donation of $250, they are nonprofit. You can take the donation off of your taxes. At least you will have proof with the pictures. Go to www.lymediseaseinformation.com and look at the Pfizer pamphlet showing the coinfections. This is what Bowen shows.
Dr. J can do this.

Forgot to state that after Bowen receives the blood overnight by FedEx, your doctor has the results within 24-48 hours. The pictures are sent out later the next week.
You do need to know what you are dealing with or you cannot get well.

Mamalyme,
Thanks for the info, I'll speak with Dr. J about the testing.
Are they all blood tests or can they be done with urine?

It is blood only. Ask for a donation slip as they consider the $250 a donation for the test which you can then take off of your taxes. Remember, they are a 501(C)(3) organization. They are working for all of us.

Good luck with your little ones. They probably all have it plus your spouse. That is the way this disease goes. The little ones seem to respond so much better to the treatment and can get well again.
