I saw my LLMD last Saturday and wanted to give you an update.

A little background: I estimate I have been infected since 1988. Received treatment beginning in 1997, but it was never consistent or strong enough. In 2003 (a year without any abx) my health took a nose dive.

I finally started seeing an LLMD in February of this year. Starting slowly I am now on 800mg Ketek, 800mg Cedax and 200mg Plaquenil daily.

I have been herxing regularly since starting this drug regimen.

I graduated from using a cane to a walker in March because the herx was so intense. This has helped in that I fall rarely now.

For the first time, the doctor said, "We're going to beat this thing," rather than the "We'll do the best we can," encouragement he had been giving. He is also talking about starting PT maybe in September depending on how I do this month.

My goal is to walk unaided. That, and I would like to be able to honestly say, "I feel good today," often ... maybe even every day!

I honestly feel that if I had been under the care of a real LLMD from the get-go, my dreams would have been realized by now. I'm not giving up, and I wanted to share this with you.

HOORAY! I'm so glad you are making progress and that you have a great LLMD! Now you can preach this to the newbies!

Onward, forward, my friend!
