Just watched it here on the east coast. Brief segment but very good: He is clearly frustrated by the misunderstandings that surround the disease and he makes it clear that it takes a long time on abx to even hope to manage the disease. Good coverage.
THANK YOU Daryl Hall!!

Here is the article from Inside Edition's Website:
Daryl Hall Breaks His Silence About His Battle With Lyme Disease
Daryl Hall talks to Inside Edition about his battle with lyme disease.
In his first TV interview since his diagnosis, Daryl Hall, half of the legendary musical duo, Hall and Oates, breaks his silence on his battle with lyme disease.
Hall says he was on tour last July with former bandmate, John Oates, when the symptoms first hit him.
He tells, Inside Edition, "I was in the middle of a song and it just felt like a complete core body shutdown. Its like somebody just turned the switch. I felt like I was going to faint, throw up, fall downeverything all at once."
Hall and Oates cancelled what was scheduled to be a summer-long tour and, at the urging of his then girlfriend, he got tested for lyme disease, which is caused by a single bite from a tick carried by deer.
Hall says he had mixed feelings about the diagnosis, which can be deadly. "At first, I had relief because I said, okay, now I know that I have something, but then the fear came. The more I read about this, the more I heard about it, the more it scared me," he said.
Lyme disease can cause heart problems, stroke, arthritis, memory loss, blindness and mood swings.
Hall says he decided to go public because he says there are so many misconceptions about the disease and its treatment. "It's really paradoxical and confusing that something as serious as this disease is so misunderstood and underplayed."
He continues, "I hear, you just take a course of antibiotics and its over. It's like you get it and people think it's nothing. That's the crime of the whole situation."
Hall's been taking massive doses of antibiotics for a year and hopes he can beat the disease. Meanwhile, he's teamed up again with John Oates for a new US tour, and will appear on this Thursday's episode of Will & Grace.

What a blessing Daryl Hall is to us!!!!
I am so sorry he got sick--and missed the story because I was at church--but this is just wonderful that Hall is helping and seeking publicity to help all of us!
"Private Eyes" was popular my senior year of high school--I always love their music and knew he was a keeper!

Ahh, Thanks for posting this for our attention!! My daughter mentioned hearing something about it on TV last night while I was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner and missed it. She thought the singer's name was Paul or something like it, so I searched the web to see if I could pick up on it without any luck until I decided to check in this site.
Yahoo! I am glad that others picked up on it and shared it here. I hope more like this will be declared out there, to decrease further misconceptions. I just wish more doctors would pay attention and take this more seriously, as I am just so tired of playing Ring Around the Posies!

Hall and Oates will be on Will and Grace tonight too. I doubt they'll mention lyme on here, but who knows?

I was so happy to see them on WIll and Grace and so sad to see how they were the butt end of some really mean jokes! I was surprised they let themselves be put down so badly--even if SOME people may have thought it was funny??
My guess is they are BROKE from the Lyme and cancelling the tour and needed some $$ pretty badly. WHy else would you subject yourself to such rudeness about your art/life/career/music?
Nothing about the Lyme and I was anticipating it with every scene. Nada.
