Hi everyone,
I saw this posted on one of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome websites. DePaul University in Chicago is offering a paced higher education for people with chronic illnesses, giving lots of options, timing flexibility and mentoring for completing courses.
I have no affiliation with DePaul and am way past my college years, but thought this could be of interest to some of our younger Lyme patients.
The program, described at [URL=http://www.snl.depaul.edu/current/chronic.asp www.snl.depaul.edu/current/chronic.asp,[/URL] is part of DePaul's nontraditional ``School for New Learning.'' The program, open to students worldwide, offers individuals dealing with physical difficulties the flexibility of:
1. Faculty, advisors, and career counselors familiar with the challenges they face. 2. No limit on time required to complete degrees, and no minimum course load per quarter. 3. Ability to try any mix of on-campus or remote participation. ``Online courses are archived, so students, with an instructor's agreement, can continue coursework beyond the end of a quarter.'' 4. Privacy regarding to their illness vis-�-vis all but their advisor. 5. An experienced-student advice and support ``buddy'' system. 6. Some access to scholarship opportunities.

Thanks, Minocaut, for catching that wayward comma. I was cutting and pasting and it must have slipped in there.
Oh crud, I tried editing my original post to remove the comma in the URL and now it's worse. Really, I know how to edit, I do it all the time - don't know what the issue is.
