For the people following the court drama of myself, author of "The Singing Forest, A Journey Through Lyme Disease", the results of the battery of psychological testing has returned.
Verdict (and I quote, including grammatical errors and typos):
"Based on the present evaluation, it is judged that Mrs. Langhoff has no significant psychological problems as long as her physical symptommatology can be accounted for by her Lyme disease. It is judge that if that is the case she can be best diagnosed as having an adjustment disorder with mixed emotional features that result from her health problems. Her lack of energy and preoccupation with her health is judged to be related to her Lyme disease and not from depression." (end quote)
OK, I'm not nuts, duh, so says yet another evaluation. At what point will anyone in court finally admit I'm okay mentally?
As to the "adjustment disorder" and the "preoccupation" with my health, I have this to say:
1.) "adjustment disorder"--part 1 who the H-E double hockey sticks can "adjust" to a chronic illness like Lyme, coupled with 9 years in the court system where one's children have been ripped away from them and then made almost entirely inaccessible much like the Berlin wall because of ignorance and false accusations (lies)?
2.) "adjustment disorder"--part 2 excuse me, but the very first thing I told the psycho-logists is that the results of the testing would be skewed by the symptoms present What part of that process do they NOT understand?
3.) "preoccupation?" The ISSUE is whether or not I have Lyme disease that is "causing" my health problems...and supposed "mental illness" per the allegations from my ex and his attorney
all this from a forensic psychologist who admitted in the office that he has (quote) "no experience with lyme disease whatsoever" (endquote) and that he had just returned from a parade where he had to dress up in a chicken costume and that he was afraid to wear it to the office lest I think him "odd".
Mentally ill? Me? Are you kidding? I rest my case.

Oh, by the way, the psychologist was also a bona fide member of the Howdy Doody Fan club.
Nothing against those club members of course, the point is that we all have our quirks, it doesn't make us mentally ill......

PJ, thanks for your most recent update on your ongoing 9 yr. battle of hell with your ex and trying to get your kids back and treated for their lyme.
The medical community is as wierd as we are! Loved the fact that he was in a chicken suit before seeing you that day!
I wonder if he got his "DUCK HAT" FROM TINCUP? LOL
How is your book doing? Anyone else add their comments about your book to your special web site besides me? I thought I'd be cut off after a certain amount of words so kept my review SHORT for me! You do know I get wound up now; don't you?
coming your way from me. Won't make up for all the hell you are going thru, but it shows WE LYMIES DO CARE ABOUT ONE ANOTHER. That's why you felt safe in coming here to post the findings from this duck MD.

PJ, Not much I can say or do to help.
But do you think these results may help? Sure sounds like they're heading in the right direction.
Good luck and many hugs if they'll help, trueblue

Yes, everything helps in some way or another. My goal is to TRY to bring the ignorance and discrimination to light in that court. But the key word remains to TRY.
I knew that coming up to Wisconsin in 1991 was going to be a life-changing event. Call it intuition (I wrote about that too in another book).
At any rate, I continue to battle the many individuals in chicken suits, duck costumes, judges robes and so-called attorneys in an effort to change the system that has gone so horribly wrong.
As for the books, they are doing okay, everyone's help promoting them is appreciated. Lord knows I have enough opposition, even to promoting those.
Seems some people think my lyme book is somehow different than other books listed on their sites, this site included, so it doesn't get promoted.
If Lymies got a bit more support all the way around, it would go a long way towards making our lives easier....not to mention the world a better place.
