I hope you mean cramping-lol [Smile]

Are you eating some food with the doxy?

Doxy is known for causing nausea/stomach upset unless you eat something. I wouldn't eat dairy with it, the calcium in dairy has a possibility of interfering with the doxy.

Looking--
Hey--you aren't dumb for asking questions!

Have you taken your temp? You say you feel really hot...as in flushed or tenperature wise?
Cramping and stomach problems can sometimes cause flushing and chills.

Either way, please call your doctor right away, and let him/her know what's going on with you.....let us know please!

doxy can make you REALLY sick if you don't take it with some food. Even if the bottle says to take on an empty stomach take with a least a piece of bread and a full drink of soemthing...

I get extremely sick on doxy on an empty stomach...cannot move just tlike you describe...

hope this helps

I am sorry to hear about your pain and hope you can feel better soon.

Not a stupid question at all. A herx is when you have an increase in your lyme symptoms when the bacteria start to die off.

It's little like a war. The enemy is dying and it can make you feel worse before you feel better.

It helps to remember that a herx is only temporary and will pass in time. Here is a post that explains better than I can about a herx:

Make sure to keep in contact with your LLMD and let him know how you are feeling

Hang in there

It could be that you have a bacterial infection in your stomach that the doxy is killing. This would cause a herx including stomach cramps.

Do you know if you were tested for h. pylori? It's a common gut bacteria.

For stomach pain, I find following the diarhea diet always helps the most. Very bland foods like saltines and keep yourself hydrated. This gets difficult if you are staying off carbs to prevent yeast growth. But sometimes you need to just get through today.

For the other pain, you are doing just right. The pain meds are there for you to take when you have pain. I hope they are helping.

Where is the pain, besides your stomach? And what kind of pain is it? Sharp, dull, ache, burning? Does it feel like joint, muscle, tendon? Different pain requires different ways to help reduce it.

Thanks for the rpleys. I am drinking more water, and making sure I am eating with the doxy, and it is helping some. As for the pain it a strong aching feeling. Like when I go to bed my legs hurt so bad I keep getting back up and moving around to get comfortable. My back and neck hurt also. I have been having alot of chest pain. But O have had heart problems for the last 3 years, and I am not too worried as I have pacemaker. They are begain to think all my hreat problems are due to the lymes? Who knows??? [bonk]
