She is alive but her computer was fried last night..She called me around 10 to say she did not know how she would make it without lymenet and how bad it might be to miss her surprise birthday.
She has such a gift for humor but you all have been so supportive and uplifting to her..Her whole life has been turned upside down over the last 2 years and here she can ask questions, find answers and get some laughs.
Thanks for the support thus far and please keep her in your prayers.
ANd I threatened her that this was my get even time, but think I will just let her squirm in that Baltimore mold..Ha..

Just in time I see. LymeMomTooo-you tell when my birthday is-and I will tell when YOUR birthday is !
Here I am bright and early at the Church Office-ready to be of service-but the Pastor is not here yet- so while the cat's away I will play...
Last week my oldest daughter was standing at the front door during an electrical storm, there was a blinding white flash-and she turned around just in time to watch our computer screen fade away to BLACK. Good ole power surge.
Well, I have some news-my youngest daughter, Carolyn tested positive for Lyme-we were both at the LLMD's yesterday. Although I am grateful for a mother's intuition(and all there is to learn on Lymenet), I also feel guilty because this kid may have had Lyme for the past ten years-and I thought she was psychosomatic.
Suddenly the light bulb went off, not unlike the recent lightening flash, and it all made sense when examined through the lyme lens. Lyme was never ever mentioned over the years.(BTW-her pediatrician is with Johns Hopkins)
LMT- I'm sorry I just didn't have it in me to travel last night. LLMD has ramped up my antibiotics, everything hurts- inside and out- but today is cooler, the sun in shining, I am on Lymenet-and not alone.
Carolyn was very unresponsive when the doctor was talking to her-we both came home and went straight back to bed- too much reality for one day.
I'm still planning my surprise birthday party-maybe I'll plan another surprise party for someone else who's having a birthday soon.
Anyway-glad a couple people missed me. I should be able to get back on soon-either that or work at the church office more often.
BTW the doc casually mentioned the red dots that are showing up on my stomach-but I ,too, was unresponsive and still digesting the news about Carolyn , so I forgot to ask the significance of it. Think there is a thread going on red dots I'll look up.
Take care, I'lllll be BACK. and to my buddies, Carol

I"m so sorry to hear about your daughter! How old is she?? Remember, the young ones can usually beat this easier than us oldsters!
Carol....glad you made it back! Hope you can get that computer fixed very soon! I know I would be lost without mine.
Hang in there....hope you're feeling better soon! We'll call you Red Dot Lady!!

Carol, mum is the word, but the moonwalk thing was somewhat of a giveaway..
I am so sorry about your daughter..You realize that if she is positive you most likely have one more...Good luck..
I would love to talk to her about this..YOU realize I have a little experience (unfortunately)..And apparently it is easier to talk to someone else's mom sometimes than your own..So let her know, I would like to email her..
From some of the experts, it appears that these damn diseases are STD's...So you may have even another ill one..(Cleaned this up a little)
So you better get your arse well for the infirmary..
Well, now that I have you good and fried..I hope you are better..I worry about the back surgery so be careful.
You missed a meeting on MOLD... and neuro toxins , so it would have helped you in the toxic basement..NOt sure how good it was but I did my best and received a couple of kudos and they seemed to be interested.Well no one seemed to fall asleep..
Jean just tallied the silent auction and we raised $150 for Dr. J. Pretty remarkable because we only had a few in attendance..But you missed some great homemade rolls and some beautifully hand painted items. Our group has some talent.
And one of the members mentioned the new magic fumigator that they are using for mold..Will have to find out more from him about it. They used it for Katrina victims' homes.
I hope things are going ok..Hugs..lmt

Well, Carolyn has been very sullen today. I may put a general thread up to help me identify the other LymeMom's on the board,Tooo.
Found out today- we also have asbestos in floor tiles on the first floor and third floor. A fellow from a local church is going to help me repair the house-and when he took a tour he pointed out the asbestos and of course the mold. He's going to talk to a fellow contractor about how to deal with it.
Meanwhile, I think we should buy the RV in the used car lot at the end of the street, park it in the driveway and live there for a while.

I also thought maybe a tent in the backyard-but then all I could think of were the creepy crawlers that would come visiting.
Mold in an RV??? Where? Not that I doubt you, but there's no basement or plumbing leaks?
I refuse to go live with my mother although she would love nothing better-but we would all have to sleep on a sofa bed-too close for comfort.
When the furnace broke this winter we did go stay at the church parsonage for a while.
I am tired of being needy. Carol Someday I hope to thumb my nose at Lyme Disease.
BTW-Lymetoo-Carolyn is 15 and HER birthday is December 25th ! That's a whole nother story I can tell you about how much I tried to avoid being in the hospital on christmas day. Ah me-even the best made plans...
