The last we heard, you were dealing with a stone, which I've heard is terribly painful.
Are you feeling any better? Do you have an appointment with your doctor?

stone moved from the rear kidney area to midstream. may have pasted it ,may still be moving.
decrease in pain in the back quadrant.
i'll let ya'll know when i delver this stone, should be 2-3 lbs i think.
how could something the size of a grain of sand cause more pain than demerol can handle.
thank goodness only needed tyl with codiene last time i took percocet is was in a anbulance to the hospital, getting my stomach pumped and then being put in a psych ward for 36 hours.
ok for know, will let you know.
with all this, i was in bed on tyl#3 and the realtor called and wanted to show the house in an hour.
i told her it was not possible, that is was in bed , in extreme pain, and they probably did not want to sell a house with somebody screaming in it.
yes the latest saga to my life is my wife doesn't want to live in this house, but wants to move to another house down the road in another development. this will make her happy.
RIGHT!!!!!!! i do have to stay married to her at least until her very rich uncle dies, because it is in his will that we stay married or no money.

Hope that the stone is passed. I have watched my dad and brother go thru the excruitiating pain of passing kidney stones. I feel for you.
Hopefully the worst part has passed. Are you peeing in a strainer so that you know if you passed it or not. Sorry to ask a graphic question.
Just being newly dx with lyme and coinfections, friends are saying to me that I'm too good of a person to have this crappy disease. So yes, I believe that lymies have horrible luck.
I hope your pain will soon be gone.

I'm glad to hear you're not having to be as highly medicated as in the past, but I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering.
No way can you be showing a home when you're that sick! Showing a house is stressful enough under good circumstances.
Yes, I'm afraid so many of us with Lyme also endure so much additional bad luck. With me, it's been having other family members get sick, too, separate bites, years apart - in a city where there's supposed to be no Lyme. And we are not outdoorsy people!!
Others on Lymenet have been dealing, like you, with relationship problems. Or hurricanes, tornadoes or other home-destroying acts of nature. Most of us have insurance or other financial messes from Lyme.
I feel like we're living the modern-day story of Job (no, not Steve Jobs!) so much of the time.
Anyway, try to rest, listen to a little Bob Dylan "Like a rolling stone" and pass that sucker!

I just stumbled onto this thread - Kidney Stones OUCH.
I have a real problem with kidney stones as does my son (I've now passed four and he's gone through about 10).
When I started passing my first stone I thought I was dying. I could swear that someone had stuck me in the lower back with an ice-pick and forgot to pull it out.
I went to the ER and they first gave me a shot of morphine (that's some nice stuff). After morphine shot I really didn't care what they did.
I had an contrast x-ray and they found the one stone in the urinary track and they also found three more floating in my left kidney.
I finally "discharged" the one stone into a strainer and I was shocked as to how such a small grain of sand could hurt so much.
Thankfully the doctor at the ER said (in front of my wife) that the pain of passing kidney stones is even worse than the pain of childbirth.
Of course my wife doesn't buy it for even a minute, but it made me feel better.

dave, so sorry to read on your kidney stone! ouch.
lymedad/son ... sorry to read of your painful ones too. worse than childbirth? only a woman could answer that if she got a kidney stone also and also went thru childbirth.
double ouch on having to remain married but separated due uncle's will in order to make your wife wealthy later on.
glad you spoke up for yourself; no house showing today due to my pain/sickness.
hang in there dave. BETTER DAYS are ahead and acorn brought you some beautiful flowers w/her new adorable squirrel photo.
dave, the cd arrived today; haven't put it in yet to check it out! thanks so much!

So sad to hear of your stone throwing experience!! never had one and dont wanna either.
Glad to hear you are making progress in the wifey department. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to make them "HAPPY"!!
At least it proves to her you are more comitted to her than your other friends,,,thats what she seeks.
Without kiss and telling,,,have you had a chance for 'date' night??
Other dumb question,,,do you and your wife have children??
Good luck and hope your house sells HIGH and you can BUY low!! Is there ANY thing to 'help' the stone thing???dont know cause I remain--just don--

yes don we've kind of mended or differences, but she still living away.
yes we have be out several times and actually saw her today and watched a movie.
kidney stone seems better today maybe i passed it. i don't use a strainer any more becasue usually you can't see it anyway. they, believe it or not , most of the time ,are the size of sand grains.
don: no we do not have children together but have 2 girls from first marriage. one is moving down to florida near me next month.
she does like my children, since she could not have any of her own, and we were unable to adopt. we missed donor eggs by 5-6 years.

daughters are 27 and 25 one teaches math in tuscon one manages a petsmart in balto.
good kids, older one was tainted by mom during divorce and has finally come around to liking my wife after 13 years.
its really not fair that a nasty dicorce can destroy the childrens life.
my teacher was stronger and more will, she turned out great. she liked my wife immediately and spent almost every moment growing up with us. she was not smarter the the older one but could read through her mothers intentions, and would not be used as a pawn.
the eldest has a major weight problem and needs gastric bypass surgery due to her mom, but her insurance refuses to pay for it.

dave, thanks for telling me/others about your 2 daughters; what they do; and how the divorce affected each of them growing up.
glad you are close to them both now and the one has given you a chance for the person you are now; not the one she heard about after the divorce.
i wish her well on her future gastro surgery IF it comes. may be she could contact weight guru, _Richard Simmmons ?, i can see his face, not sure if i guessed the right name now. he helps folks who can't afford it otherwise!
