When it is two teeth and when you are no longer covered by your parents dental plan and when you are legally disabled and PA says peridontal work is not covered.
A bone loss anywhere else would cause bells and whistles to go off but not if it is a tooth. Since the insurance companies consider bone loss from God knows what, ok, if it is dental, they will send a ts slip if it is a tooth.. urrgggggggg!!!
Fortunately it was just caught by x ray. My daughter has had braces for a year and a half and had thought the pain was always from the adjustments. She has had check-ups and always told her hygiene was wonderful. WE are sick and will probably need to get a loan for this.
Check your policies carefully!! lmt

Has she had a bone density scan done? I mean if she has bone loss in her jaw-perhaps her back and hips, too. I don't know. It doesn't answer your question-but I always thought the jaw bone's connected to the skull bone's conneceted to the back bone's connected to the hip bone-well you catch my drift.
Bone loss is bone loss-should be covered under medical. It's like the people who make up the regulations, restrictions, etc are in PERFECT health from top to bottom. Must be inhuman.

Carol, yes, I am sure it is all related. 3 years ago she was diagnosed with osteroporosis in the back and ostepenia, woops, that looks wrong...But something close in her hip.
After many Vit D, Mg and calcuim, it was retaken a few months ago and the endo, said all is ok. Of course I never saw the report since I am not allowed to go in with her to any of the Drs anymore.
But I bet they missed the teeth. Had to be there then..I hate ticks!!!!!!! and some DRS and most insurers...
And yes, one would think it was medical..But they have their traps..
Thanks for the support gals..lmt
