I'm new to this place. Diagnosed in November. Been though the IV and IVig, now I'm on oral doxy and being transitioned to another anti-biotic Minocycline(?). I just started working with a naturopath.
Anyone working with conventional and alternative therapies?
I'd like to know what people have found successful?

Yes, I think having conventional with alternative to support the immune system is necassary for recovery. My LLMD has me on a natural protocol of immune support to work along with the abx to kill off the bacteria.
The immune system has to be strengthened so at some point you can eliminate the abx.

It seems to me that many or most people on this board use some form of "complementary" medicine when treating lyme. In other words, conventional antibiotices along with some herbs, supplements, and detox products.
If you look back on topics previously posted, you will find many, many interesting ideas. Feel free to post your own questions. (As noted, you will get more responses to this on medical.)

Hi devine, I have been doing conventional and alternative all together all along. Until we concovered CIDP, and my body really can't do more abx. So now it's just IVIg and alternatives.
I have weekly IMT treatment, and have for 3 yrs... I'm sure it has kept me from ALS... IV heavy metal chelation, and Iv supplimenation as needed. lots of oral supplimentation , all tested with IMT... a little like ART...
Also detoxing with burbur, will be adding samento when we get my immune system a little more stable.
Lots of probiotics and looking at food allergies, diet watching etc.
Then I do light wt lifting, gentle swiming, walking with treking pole to do cross crawl motor repatterning, breathing exercises and gentle yoga when I can. Sometimes I just cry.
With all this, my cognitve skills are getting a bit better, but my overall motor skills and overall strength is going downhill.
I did have fabulous improvement with lyme symptoms with IV doxy and oral mino. I had to start slowly with both. especailly the oral mino. It really gets deep into the brain and can cause some pretty strong herxes.
Make sure you maintain your detoxing and keep up your probiotics and keep a positive attitude. I'm sure lyme loves a poor attitude. So laugh ard and love well! I wish you well!
