For the past couple of years, I have put tick cards around candy bars and used a rubber band to hold it together. Well, I also dress as Lymie and tell them to be careful and to do a tick check when they get home.

Another idea is to use the individually wrapped caramels that have a creme center and attach a note that says do a tick check and report a bulls eye or other rash. Or something with your own wording.

Our support group just used some for free handouts with some brochures at a community festival. Just type some appropriate saying on paper, cut it out and punch a hole. The end of the wrapper will go thru the hole and you have trick or treat candy with a message.

Anyone have any other good ideas? lmt

For your nails:

 -

Here are some fabulous shoes that you could modify to look like a tick.

 -

Hand out pencils with .org name or phone number on it. "Ticks are creepy.... and make you sick" or something like that

or put a message on this bug pencil...

 -

Glow in the dark spider rings - hang a tag on them that says
"You can't see them, but they're out there. Watch out for ticks! www.yourwebsite.org

 -

Giant inflatable spider for your yard with a sign next to it.... "Watch out for ticks!"

 -

tic-tac-toe games - could these pass for ticks?
