Every morning I have ben waking up with terrible anxiety attacks. And I am on Lexapro and xanax. I also get to see my psychologist today.
I was so "normal" and happy before Lyme- never took a xanax in my life!
Anyone else have this problem. I don't know what is worse-the anxiety or pain and head issues!! To top it off my stomach has been on the blink. Also-never had those issues before.
Any suggestions????

Oh my gosh, have forgotten your name between the time I entered to post reply, sorry ... Yes, anxiety is huge issue for me and Lyrica helps with it and for the pain.

I had stomach issues for a whole year, lost weight, couldn't eat before noon, etc. Tried every drug for it, had to resort to promethazine and metachlopromide (sp?). Miraculously, that problem just went away last October and it has not returned since. Gastro. was one who prescribed the prom. and metach. He didn't know at the time that I had lyme.

What a strange disease ... hope you can get the stomach issues under control cuz when you can't eat, it affects everything. Will pray that you soon feel better. Ginny W.

Hi -- have you been tested for, or treated for, bartonella? What you are describing is pretty classic for that TBD.

Rescue Remedy by Bach is a homeopathic product that can be helpful with stress or anxiety. I also suggest relaxation CDs.

I have had anxiety and depression issues. I am taking Cymbalta and it is awesome!!! I plan to stop taking it when I am feeling better but in the meantime I am much more in control of my thoughts and emotions.

As a bonus side effect it has helped with the fatigue too!

Good luck.

I take 1/2 teas sea salt (Himilayan) and 1/2 teaspoon vit c crystals in 8-12 oz water 3 x a day. It has helped tremendously with the anxiety issues. I think it is wiping out the bart. It was advice from my naturopath. I tried all kinds of antidepressants and when your body is so toxic from lyme it won't do a thing for you except make you more toxic.

Hope this helps. It is saving me!
Ruth
