Hello, everyone,
I am planning on another Walk Against Lyme Disease, for the week of August 1-8 (yes, that's an 8-day "week"), and to have everyone walk with a partner -- teams of 2. You can walk wherever you live, and we will keep in touch via email. I hope you can join us as we walk in honor and support of those who cannot, who have been affected by neurological Lyme disease.
It has been an amazing year, what with the Cure Unknown book, the "Under Our Skin" film and the upcoming review of the IDSA guidelines.
Yet people are still getting sick, getting turned away by doctors, being accused of having a psychosomatic illness, and becoming disabled.
We need better treatments, and a cure. We need research to get to those things. And so, it is time to walk again.

I have had a very low response to the Walk Against Lyme challenge this year, partly because other obligations have prevented me from promoting it as much as I have in the past.
So I am postponing the Walk until the first week of October. I'll post about it in September to remind everyone.
Thanks, walkers!

Thanks Shazdancer for postponing. It's like an oven down here right now.
