After 25 years of illness and misdiagnosis, I began IV Rocephin for Lyme disease today.
To celebrate, I've written the following LYMERIC, and hope borrelia is pronounced with a short e, cause otherwise it won't rhyme. =O
Broke it up for you Betty and other Lyme Brains
LYMERICK
There Once Was A Germ Named Borrelia
Who Wasn't A Very Nice Fellia
For Years He Did Hide
And Gave Me Quite A Ride
But Now I'm Gonna Give HIM some Hellia !!!!!
2008 Rita J. Lammers (added at Betty's suggestion, Thanks Betty)
If anyone has any tips re IV Rocephin treatment, I'd be glad if you share, and I won't consider it medical advice at all. Just the voices of experience. Time to celebrate!!!!

melody, really cute!
please copyright it, etc. so it doesn;t remain a ANONYMOUS ...
also, someone started a post compiling lyme poems, etc. you might do a search for it and add it to the other cleverly worded ones!

I am careful about copyrighting music before it is heard, but never thought of doing that for the Lymerick.
I write contemporary Christian music, which is why I list as "Melodymaker" though my name is Rita.
Hope all is well in your world.
