I got a Kayak mounted fire hydrant just in case of a flood.

Funny Maddog! HA! With the size of the fish you are catching, you could use it to konk the fish in the head so you can land them in the boat!

Or, use it like they did in the movie Jaws!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpxOLhuNXfM

Actually they used a fire extinguisher in some part of the film I think, but this appears to be an O2 tank? In fact, that shark kind of looks like the fish you caught! Big as Jaws!

Hiker, thanks for the explanation. I didn't know about them. Will check it out.

Laughed at your bottle opener comment. HA! I still open bottles the old fashion way- the end of the seat belt works in a pinch!

Hiker- just now seeing your post above- too funny!

It's that time of year again! Bringing this post back up so you can prepare. The members have added additional tips here and more are welcome!

I will be adding additional tips to the main page linked below as the season draws closer.

The first one is a good deal on NICE motion detector lights- inexpensive- and bright. I have a link there so you can order them online.

I've tried at least 4 other kinds of lights and these are the best so far. You get 6 lighting units for under $20. I use them year round. Love them!

Don't forget the batteries!

Be safe you all!

Reading back on your posts you still make me laugh. All of you!

We've been doing this "prep talk" since 2008! TEN Years! WOW!

Hope most of you are more prepared now than you were back then!
