Hello especially to TinCup and mtree and barb! Thank you for your messages --- I didnt get a chance to reply BECAUSE....
I was busy hosting the music event that I organized at Godfrey Daniels (coffee house / listening room) in Bethlehem PA!
We were having a "tribute" concert in memory of my favorite singer/songwriter legend Townes Van Zandt (he wrote songs such as "Pancho and Lefty" and "If I Needed You").
It was called "For the Sake of the Song", and we had 12 artists and bands who signed up for the bill (actually more wanted to but we only had so much time!).
Now, Godfrey's (which is a legend itself) has never in it's history opened on New Year's Day. In fact, it took alot of convincing to do it this year for this.
The other issue was that with the economy, etc, that the house might not bring in more than 25 or 30 customers (it holds 100).
BUT, the board was kind enough to give it a go ------
AND WE WERE PACKED!!!!! WE HAD PEOPLE STANDING IN THE REFRESHMENT AREA BECAUSE WE RAN OUT OF SEATS!!!!
We ran from 7pm to midnight and it was just unbelievable!
BUT THE BEST NEWS IS -----
We raised $600 for Lyme Disease Network!!!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT; THANK YOU TO GODFREY DANIELS (www.godfreydaniels.org) FOR THEIR SUPPORT!!!!

Ah, I miss Godfreys. Used to live in Bethlehem, and my best evenings were spent south side. Thanks for all your hard work.
MissMari and Godfrey's gift to Bethelhem, Bethlehem's gift to the network, and the network's gift to the world!
Next year I'll have to make a point of spending New Year's at an old haunt.
