After 15 years with Alzheimer's, my mom crossed over today. She was a dear sweet lady and we will miss all the "moms" that she had been along the way.

Tried to hook up with the brain donation folks, but evidently they are no longer working on the Alzheimer's/Lyme project.

Nonetheless, mom has finally been released and can find joy and peace again.

God bless her,

wiserforit2 -- Tori

I am sorry to hear about your loss. The only peace comes from knowing that she is much better now. God bless

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

Mothers and daughters are never apart.

Maybe by distance~But never by heart.

Special prayers for you both tonight. <<Hugs>>

tori, [group hug] [kiss]

my heart goes out to you on the triple loss you feel tonight:

the loss of your beloved mom; your alzheimer's mom; and your best friend!!

tori, she now has her MIND BACK; sharp as ever, and that is what helps us over the devastation of such a mind-robbing disease.

sorry they were not doing more alzheimers/lyme autopsy studies.

below is my online poems; and i know that I'M FREE AT LAST will hold special meaning to you; and i believe towards the end is an alzheimer's one as well.

if it's not there and you want it, i'll look for a paper copy to scan and hopefully paste it here for you/others.

Thank you all for your kind words and condolences.

I am finding that grieving for someone with Alzheimers is a complicated thing. I'm happy that Mom has found release from what the illness imposed. That said, I grieve for the pre-Alzheimers mom, my only remaining parent, my wacky friend who taught me how to laugh often.

I look forward to the memorial to hear all the celebratory memories from others. Unfortunately, it will not be held until late April out of respect for Mom's older friends who find traveling difficult upon short notice.

She was known for her quirky passion for all things purple and wild musical taste. So, we've decided to ask everyone to wear purple and we're collecting all her favorite song titles to play. Since there is a gap in timing, we're asking folks to email us a list of their memories entitled "These are a few of my favorite things..." about my mom.

Amongst the grief, I anticipate joy and laughter. I miss her already.

This Lymenet group of people is very special and dear to me. Thank you so much for your very tender and far-reaching support. You represent so many levels of friendship and steadfastness. It warms my heart.

all my best,

wiserforit2 (Tori)

tori, [group hug] [kiss]

how nice of you to postpone her burial until nicer weather so her older friends/relatives can attend.

loved the purple idea; will they be wearing their RED hats too? lol

tori, i loved this!! "Since there is a gap in timing, we're asking folks to email us a list of their memories entitled "These are a few of my favorite things..." about my mom."

those memories written will be wonderful to combine into a notebook to read on your deepest, saddest days of missing MOM! reliving her life thru their eyes into the PRE-alzheimer's mom ... happy memories coming back to life.

you/family are in our thoughts and prayers; come back when you feel up to it. YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL TO US TOO MY FRIEND!

[group hug] [kiss]

I've lost both of my parents, so I understand how you're feeling. My father was misdiagnosed Alzheimers when it was very late stage Lyme.

May you be blessed with lots of support and peace at such a difficult time.
