I'm not a pastor's wife, but I play one on TV. No wait, that's not it.
I'm not a pastor's wife, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
No, that's not it either.
Seriously, I'm in seminary at the moment--taking my LAST CLASS--WOOHOO!!!! And it only took 10 years!
Don;t know if I'll ever be a pastor or if I'll just stick to teaching.
Yeah, I know what you mean about not wishing this on anyone--not even my worst enemy!

<<<<< O2B' and Starfall' >>>>>,
I think we are always ministers of one sort or another Sisters!
And we know what it is to live thru' illness and adversity... not easy but we are still here!
Whether in churches/schools or a 'secular field...we can support one another, and help others who are ill like we are. Sometimes a smile can brighten a whole day.
And ministering -understanding- 'because we've been there/or somewhere similar' can keep someone going so they don't give up!!!
A friend I lost to breast cancer and a MRSA infection a few years ago, used to say even the worst day above the ground,is a good day.
She was such a help to so very many folks, and even in passing away, her story has helped many people.
To coin an old phrase let's " keep on keeping on..." !And perhaps if the time comes that it is to difficult to keep on... Someone else will be sent our way to help us too!!!
Jus' Silverwolfi... thinkin' out loud!

Are y'all Okay???
Still typing in sorta hunt and peck here, up at odd hour...cleaning up after a pup dog w/a cranky tummy made my own tummy cranky. Oy!
Hope y'all are doing well under the circumstances and that your symptoms aren't to rough right now!!!
I'm trying to keep the swelling down in Rt.thumb/wrist tendon and back of hand. And keep an eye on TxC' so he wont worsen his bad knee.
Well,I'm off to try and sleep a bit..we'll see what happens!

I'm a pastors wife/seminary student/ministry intern.
I'm not on here often though.
I'm a lot healthier than I was a few years ago, so I've been busy trying to get my life back (or starting anew I suppose).
I know what you mean about us all ministering Silverwolf. I know many people who minister in many different ways.
However, I also understand the different standard we are held to as official ministers (pastors, deacons, pastors spouses, etc.).
I've used my journey with Lyme as a witnessing tool, but I have also learned a great deal through my journey.
Having Lyme gives you a whole new appreciation for the psalms, for example.

Hi there <<<<< jbio'>>>>>,
Glad you are getting better, and that you stopped by to swap howdys w/us!!!
I totally get what you mean about the Psalms!!! And you are correct that we are held to a different standard, when in official ministry.
While we were active in ministry, clothing was a problem for me. We of course need to wear something LOL !!!
Because of Physical issues, and IBS type symptoms, I needed easy on,easy off clothing. And w/ Rocephin IM Shots for 3 months, clothing that wouldn't show blood stains etc. easily.
My blood thinned out big time...and the tiniest scratch...was a mess...along w/injection site bleeding.
I wore simple clothing, mostly slacks or jeans w/ easy on/off t-shirts etc.... that doesn't always fly well in the more traditional churches...
Kept feeling like they'd rather I be in a long flowing formal gown, 24/7,...in blizzard conditions and/ or 100~ degree heat!!! But it got to wear I couldn't go to most services...and I felt very bad about it all!
So for now, I'm trying to be happy just putting things away, here in our little trailer[we moved this summer],and trying to keep TxC in clean clothes so he can go to work.
We are both trying to get our health back... long journey!
