It's been snowing here in PA all night.

We have 4 1/2 inches so far, and they're calling for 12+ inches.

Woohoo, white Christmas!

Hi Starfall,

For once we are in the lower snowfall amounts, unlike people in the DC area and nearby.

We have about 3 inches so far. I hear another 4-6 inches is expected today and 1-2 inches tonight.

I had a marathon shopping day yesterday, so I plan to stay home today to wrap gifts and do laundry.

Maybe I'll make my husband some chocolate chip cookies too.

Just shoveled the first go round..Over my boots an hour ago. Approx 10 inches so far. WE are in the area that they say may have more than predicted. The prediction is for 12 - 24..

Who would like some?

The old saying that neither rain, nor snow..etc...keeps the mailman from his appointed rounds...may be tested today..

However, PA State Police is working. He had to park and walk over 1/4 mile up a bad hill to an area in the quarries. He came down later with a boy in handcuffs wearing a shirt. Hard on both of them..

Just hope the boy didn't do anything too bad..But also feel for the police. Dangerous to be out doing anything today.Even protecting it's citizens. lmt

We had some this morning, but the rain has melted most of it. I was thankful that we had little because I had to drive to the downtown studio this morning to teach a Pilates class. It can snow all it wants now!

But talked to my daughter in DC earlier. They have tons of snow and it is still coming down. I think its suppose to be a record snow for DC.

Ah hem, no snow here in SW Florida. [Big Grin] However, we are getting a cold front coming in. Big high of 68 tomorrow and low in the 50's. [cussing]

The day it snows here I will have to pack up and move to Hawaii.

I'm enjoying watching the news reports on the blizzard of 2009 for my old state of New Jersey. Been there, done that and certainly don't miss it.

For those who love the snow, enjoy it.

For those who don't, grin and bear it. It will eventually melt. [lol]

Mind your backs if you are in charge of shoveling. But, I hope you have snow blowers. If not, I hope someone else is cleaning that white stuff up for ya all.

Keep safe on the roads....and...remember Spring is only three months away.

Meantime, I have to watch the snow globe, that's what we are calling the TV this weekend.

we still have that same old foot we had almost two weeks ago,,,its getting old already,,,the snow like me is old,,go figure.

Spent the last two days taking off a roof. least here it helps keep down the 'sweat' issue. About 20 degrees.

thats a heat wave from the 11 below the week before.

Was drinking one of those canned sodas. It didnt turn to slush,,,it just froze solid in the can before I could get it out. Guess my 'cooler' turned into a warmer this week.

Can't tell how much here.
They're saying on the news about a foot of snow.

it's cold, in the 20s but with a windchill of 5 degrees. Makes the snow lighter for shoveling, I guess. One positive. Drier snow means that more fell.

We got a total of 12 inches.

Mike blew the snow off around suppertime last night, and by bedtime it was all snowed over again.

He just finished blowing it off aagain.

Apparently they had a no travel rule overnight so the plows could get through.

Our church cancelled 1st service but still had the 11AM seervice.

Needless to say, we didn't make it--church is 15 miles away.

Stay safe everyone, and enjoy the snow (if you can).

We ended up with about 11 inches on top of what we already had.

Went out to church, breakfast and shopping this morning with no problems.

UGGGG!!!

Snow snow and more snow! We ended up at the last minute being in the "blizzard warning" area... and the wind about blew the house down!

Darn near froze! Me don't like no snow. Not even ONE flake!

But today the sun was out and the fields looked bright and sparkly ... as long as I was inside looking out that is!

I stopped in the store Friday evening to get new prescriptions and thought maybe I would get some extra milk and bread and a few other things.

The only thing left in the bread isle was English Muffins... and the milk was sold out except for a dozen or so half gallons.

It looked like Florida stores just before a hurricane! Of course others had heard the updated last minute weather report about it changing to a blizzard, but I'd been out all day at docs and hadn't gotten the news.

Hard to tell but we had at least 18". The drifts from the wind are the problem ... with some 4 foot or higher blocking access roads in/out of here.

It is so deep that a 4-wheel drive got stuck 4 times going less than 50 feet today .. so it looks like we are here for the long haul.

Hope everyone did well and everyone stays safe on the roads!

Optimistic did a beautiful job preparing everyone with her handy dandy lists! Thanks for that!
