Does Florastor need to be refrigerated and is it important to buy it already refrigerated? Not sure. Looking at buying it online as it is much cheaper.

I keep a small bottle of it in my purse. That's what my LLMD suggested. It does NOT need refrigeration.
Since it is so expensive, I keep two other probiotics in my fridge to use on a regular daily basis and save the Florastor for times I am not at home.

Im just curious what are the 2 other things you are taking?
My doctor had me taking Saccharomycin DF-Saccharomyces boulardii lyo (5 billion live organisms per capsule)
then he had me switch to Florastor for 2 weeks and then Culturelle (Latobacillus) for 2 weeks and keep alternating, due to price---to try to offset cost some???
I understand the basic need for a probiotic while on abx but I don't understand the differnece between the two
and is it ok (good) to keep switching on and off?
Also, I keep trying to find brands that are more cost effective but there is so many different strengths I don't know if I am gettng the right thing--ie. equal to what I was taking and need.
I am under the care of a a great LLMD and I trust his judgement, I am just so confused on the whole "differnt type items".
Thanks anyone for any info.

for good prices try iherb and drugstore.com.
i got my florastor at drugstore and it was a lot cheaper than walgreen's. my local store charged a dollar a pill for florastor and when you're taking two a day it gets expensive.
i'm sure there are others just as good -- theralac, jarrodolphilis, critical care, and others.
i use a mixture right now or at least i will until things settle down.
