My cousin just sent me a plaque with a beautiful verse on it:

"The Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love and rejoice over you with singing." --- Zephaniah 3:17

Isnt' that a great one!!

Great words from the church bulletin boards. I always read those church bulletin boards too. You two actually remembered the words? Or did you write a note? [lol]

Remembered them--whoo hoo that is a good sign! Pun intended. [spinning smile]

Those bulletin boards always good for a laugh, or a aha moment, or wake up call. Holy Spirit uses lots of stuff around us to speak to us. [Smile]

Zephaniah 3:17 is one of my favorite verses.

When my sister was very ill, she said she used to imagine just laying on God's chest and resting in His love. Sometimes that's all we have the energy to do.

Melodymaker, that is very good input about what your sister did when very ill (awww "very ill" I'm so sorry). I'm sure others will be encouraged to do the same and be blessed.

Sharing about your sister reminded me, When I was growing up my mom would gather us four kids around her in bed and we'd just chat and talk. Very special memories.

That experience "set me up" so to speak, laying in bed, my Lord right there, it is the most natural place to "Be Still, and know...Him".
