Does anyone know some beginning exercises for building abdominal muscles. I can't even do one situp.

I tried a beginning pilates DVD but it is way too advanced for me.

Then I bought a Yoga DVD for older people, but there were no ab movements.

I need something that starts pretty slowly, but maybe that I could count--so I can see some progress.

Thanks.

in all seriousness a Nintendo wii and wii fit is what got me back into exercising. Wii fit has yoga, strength, aerobic and balance exercises and you judge the difficulty

Ahodge,
Does the wii fit video explain in detail how to go about holding the yoga positions? And do you remember if it works on abs specifically? This is a huge weakness for me.

I have an elliptical maching and have no trouble using it for aerobics.

Massman,

"Be A Loser" sounds like it focuses on weight loss, and I am thin as a rail. Do you think it is worth the investment for the abs section?
Thanks!

Hip Hop Abs video - worth every penny of the $20

NO situps - it's all stand up. Lots of fun. Great workout and seriously cuts your abs. And the video has several workouts

Nintendo Wii fit. Hula hoop.
Great Ab workout, especially for a beginner.

I love the wii fit. It's got lots of different options. Definitely worth it (if you've got or are getting a Wii).

It's fun.

To answer your questions about the wii fit yoga program, Yes, there is a "virtual trainer" who guides you step by step thru the poses.

You won't get an ab workout in the yoga sscetion, tho. But there are many options. Abs are definitely addressed.

As I said, Hula Hoop is my favorite ab workout. I'm thin and have weak abs.
