Just a suggestion....

would love to see a Children's forum here for parents to seek help and advice on helping our kids.

Kids have different Symptoms and Treatments from Lyme than us adults. Would be beneficial to have a forum for just parents of children with Lyme.

I'm not sure, but I don't think there is "room" for another forum.

I personally wouldn't even MENTION treating a child under 18 online. Too much risk to have them taken away. [Frown] You're setting yourself up to be a target by the wrong parties. Just my thoughts.

I shudder when I read people say they are giving tons of pharmaceutical anti-parasitics to a 5 yr old based on ART testing. If the kid ended up in the hospital, what would happen. [Frown]

Here's my thought on this subject:
They would have access to a Children's forum and that's all, they wouldn't be able to communicate in this forum.

I think it would be great if kids had some where to post, and be able to talk about Lyme disease and what there body's are going through.

I do agree it would be very dangerous for them read all this stuff we discuss here on this forum!!!

I think a children's forum is a good idea - we are already discussing children's treatment here.

--------------------
Me - Igenex: IgM: 41IND, IgG: 39IND, 41+ but Plasmid PCR Positive
Kiddo - after 1 year IV - positive Lyme culture (before IV: IgM:31,34,41,83-93 IND; IgG: 41+++, 66+)

My suggestion was NOT for kids to use the site for treatment...but for the parents seeking advise and support!

It's hard to surf through all the info here, when your looking for help with your child.

When Parents reach out to me....I LOVE IT! It validates that I'm NOT the only one alone in this...when sometimes I feel I am!

I agree that it is a good idea. This forum wouldn't just be about treatment, allow I also think there is a place for that there also.

Look...we are all going to treat our kids, just like we treat ourselves. No one child or adult should be self treating. I don't see why it would be a problem to have a forum here.
