Well, I have decided to detox from the 2 mgs of klonopin I have been taking for the past nine years.
The md prescibed them for sleep/anxiety with no warning of the addicting effects.
I have been to the appropriate forums for support and they don't hold a candle to lymenet. We are so blessed here.
We have wonderful support, not that the others aren't, they just aren't the same.
Also, whoever put this website together did a great job. I am having a terrible time just getting registered, accepted on some of the sites.
I am scared to death as I guess this is tough drug to detox. So would appreciate your prayers and support.
Thanks and God bless to all of you here at lymenet.

Linky - I am also trying to discontinue my benzo.
I started by switching from Clonezepam (Klonipin) to Lorezepam. It's a weaker benzo.
Then I started slowly reducing my dose. It's taking time, but I've had no side effects.
I plan to take a full year or more to completely stop my reliance on these meds. Life is hard enough without beating myself up for my benzo addiction.

linky we can keep you in prayer for sure...a little advice...when my daughter was getting off of addictive meds, bless her heart, I would shave the medications down...you can use a razor blade...sometimes you have to go at it that slowly.
