A family I pastored just had their oldest son lifeflighted to the hospital. He got his arms caught in farm machinery during harvest.

How horrific! I'll be praying for the young man, his doctors and all the staff working with him, and his family.

Will you keep us posted if you hear any updates?

<<<<< Lyme Family Prayer Warriors >>>>>,

Update:
We just got back, went up to visit and pray with the family.

'J' was still in surgery when we had to leave, he was put under about 1:30 this afternoon.

His left arm is broken, but the right arm was pretty well skinned off-pared back and crushed.

It will be some time before there is a report of how much damage, and if he will need more surgery at Salt Lake, the new hospital here is really great, but they don't take chances and rightly so...

[ if things are very severe they would take him to Salt Lake for more repair work to save his arm, and hopefully fine motor skills].

We are hoping for a good outcome 'J' is a strong young man with a good head and heart!

Once we find out more we'll post the news.

Thanks for the prayers, this is a scary and painful situation. 'J' got caught in a conveyor belt. We are so glad that his friends and work buddies found him quickly.

We stopped by his room and visited with him. He's in good spirits but very groggy from the meds. He's having more surgery Sunday a.m.

His right hand was "de-gloved" and the bone were shattered. The surgery tomorrow should address that. He does have feeling and can move the fingers but it hurts a lot.

His mom and dad spent the night with him and were worn out. I told him to find cute nurses to cut up his meals for him - he laughed.

Thanks to all for the prayers.

Lord Jesus, You are already answering prayers and we thank You.

We praise You for intervening and sparing the life of this young man.

We praise You for Your healing touch on this arms and hands. We pray You continue to give the doctors wisdom throughout the procedures/surgeries and that everything goes well and he heals up better than expected.

We pray for minimal pain and that the pain is controlled. Jesus, Your Name is greatest!

Looking forward to more good reports for Your honor and glory.

<<<<< Lymetoo and Other Reader/Responder/Prayer Warriors >>>>>,

Haven't heard any new news as yet, going up to hospital later today to see how J's second surgery went.

We are hoping and praying it goes better than they first tho't. Sat. J' said he was hoping to go home today,Monday... but after yesterdays long surgery we don't know.

He is strong, and healthy, but the right hand and arm were messed up.

Saturday, those fingers looked like blue sausages...but we are grateful for the arms and every finger being there!!!

This young man, has a heart to help others, and we don't want him or his family to get discouraged.

We'll find out if those nightmares have stopped too,if we are able. Between the accident, the meds and so on... that can happen.

BBL in a few hours [headed to a VA meeting w/ the rep' to try and get our disability pay increased.

Update :

Good News,

1. J' still has both arms, hands and all fingers !!!

2. He had surgery on both hands and is wired, pinned and screwed together. But everything is intact !!!

3. And if all went well after we left,he is resting comfortably at home , altho' he does go back in to the Drs. at hospital tomorrow to check progress!!!

J' is still dealing w/ some pain issues, and some nightmares, but he says it is better by far,and sends thanks to all who are praying!!!

The prayers now are for continued healing w/o infection, relief from the pain, and peace for his family. This was very traumatic for them all.

Thanks again for each kind tho't and pray for J' and his family. He has a lot of rehab ahead...

but he is very much alive!!! It was good to see him smile [when he wakes up],

and to see good color in his fingers [everything else, was bandages up to his elbows and bruising above that.

[hoping we don't get floated down our lane it's pouring, and we have flood warnings for our area].

<<<<< LymeNet Prayer Warriors >>>>>,

J' got to go home, he stays w/his grandparents ,while his folks work.

TxC' spoke w/his grandma [such a sweet lady]today, he had an appt. yesterday, and they were checking on progress from the surgeries on both hands [Sunday].

We don't know yet what the Drs. have said, J' is still fighting pain issues, but is happy to be w/ family and friends.

It is going to be a long process w/ the rehab therapy, but we are so happy that he is all in one piece.

Too often we hear of accidents where the worker didn't make it thru' alive. I know J's family is going to be talking and working thru' all this...it was so very frightening.

We are all blessed to have this young man still among the living!!!

<<<<< Lymetoo, and the other various Prayer Warriors >>>>>,

Thanks for the hopes and prayers!!!

We are keeping on w/ prayers for J' not to get discouraged, for the blood flow and nerve/muscles situations to work right in both arms/hands/fingers ,and for all to heal properly.

And for peace in his family and his life. He wanted so much to make a difference, and to be able to pay his own way.

They talked of how excited he was to be working,a good job, so many folk are out of work. ANd then the accident happens the second day of work for him.

Every time,we think of him we thank the Lord that he is alive. There are way to many reports of folk who don't make it.

Jus Silverwolfi and TxC' too
