My absolute number was lower than the first one I had over a year ago!!.
My first CD57 was run in July 2010. I was only 2 months into infection, early disseminated:
July, 2010 (test run at CPL in Austin) Percent CD57 5 Absolute CD57 119
Doc said most Lyme patients run between 40-80. Of course, I was sick and finished treatment.
Current test:
Now, November, 2011 (test run at Labcorp) DC8-/CD57+Lymphs 3.8 Absolute CD57+Lymphs 103
Okay, anyone have any input? They were both in the 'normal range', but we all know it's not to be relied on. I wonder.......thoughts?

Those test results basically say that it is unchanged. So I would assume your Lyme doc is going to want to continue to treat. If that is how they use the information from this test.
Try to not let this discourage you.
Hang in there, Karen

kgg: I haven't been in treatment since November of last year. The number is in the 'normal' range, still. It was in the 'normal' range, even when I was sick!!!
Thing is, look how close it is to 100. Why would the numbers go down in a healthy person?
Or, could it be that I was using my fighting NK cells to the max when I was sick, and now they aren't needed, thus explaining the low count?
Regardless, taking care of my body is the focus now. I feel good, with the exception of getting sleepy off & on for no apparent reason, the elbows and knees achy a bit, you know the deal .

I read somewhere that some LLMD's consider 0-100 the line for infection. The doc I saw last year considered it to be 40-80.
