I guess because it is Medicare..

Call the hospital. Sounds like a billing mistake!

- Maybe they only billed Medicare the Medicare allowable. Any extra, they bill you ? Co-pay ?
It's really amazing Medicare covered so much. For some tests I've had done, they seem to finally cover about 10% if they can figure a way out if.
I hope you find out about that extra cost - and a way to lift the charge. -

Why the heck did an MRI cost that much money anyway?! I know that they are expensive, but that is ridiculous! Unless you had more than one area done at a time.
Don't assume that this bill is correct, as people have said.

The $128 sounds like it could be your deductible. Are you new to medicare? I'm just guessing here, but that was the first thing I thought of.

Hi Gang I had to have an open MRI because i cant be enclosed in a pipe without going Psyco..
Mabe that is why it cost so much?
I still havent called them, things have just been to screwed up for me lately.
So much paper work ,I became disabled, then inherited another job ,filling out forms. That job is just to much right now also.
