I was seen at an urgent care 'doc in the box' yesterday for flu-like symptoms feeling sick, cold, etc. A young doctor's assistant treated me and was very interested in what I had to say about LD, of which he knew very little. He stated he would be interested in reading more and would like me to drop off some information.
Being that ink for my printer is expensive, I have to limit it, but I want to try to give them the Dr. Burrascano's Insights into Lyme treatment if I can.
I plan to add the following: ILADS brochure for Primary Physicians. ILADS Physician training brochure. A form from Igenix for ordering testing. A personal letter from myself, representing our local group, about the plight of those who are sick.
If someone would like to make a suggestion, please do so. Or if another bit of information might serve better. Remember, I'm low on funds and printer ink.
This doctor/PA is very young.... They promote very new treatments. I think they will be open to finding out more.
I'm going to request to give an in-service talk. If any of you would like to suggest something necessary for the packet, please do. I plan to take it to the clinic next week, after the DC rally is behind me.

- I just posted this for someone wanting to prepare a presentation at an elementary school: -----------------
[Caution: Treat the Bite site is MOSTLY wonderful with detail.
However, they are not totally of like-mind or "one voice" as the other links here because
on their resources link, they list the (ALDF) American Lyme Disease Foundation - that is NOT a reputable site as it's IDSA-run which limits treatment options.
For that reason, I would just not use that site at all - and skip directly to the LDA and others down this list.
Now, as Treat the Bite also lists many other reputable links, the reader SHOULD have access to the truth. But if someone connects only to the ALDF site and does not look further, lives can be ruined.
Still Treat the Bite is excellent in all other aspects, that if you share that link, you might type something like this right next to it: be sure to look over ALL the sites. No single site is all-inclusive. There are substantial differences of opinion.]
Diagnosing Lyme Disease (&/or whatever else is going on)
Other tick-borne infections and other chronic stealth infections - as well as certain conditions - that can hold us back are discussed here. -

Great job Keebler! I'll get on this when I'm back from DC.
I'm excited about presenting this to the local clinic, if they'll listen. This guy was really interested. We need a miracle.
