My sis is going to Africa and I was going to order her the bed bug spray that was listed on a post a while back.
Can't find it, can't remember it and not feeling so great...
so would anyone remember which one it was?
Natural....etc?
Thanks!

- If she has MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities), Cedar can be very damaging to her. However, certain other essential oils may work - may - some are not recommended at all.
For instance, the citrus oils are usually okay. Many tree oils, not. Lavender, not.

Rubbing alcohol mixed with water (1:2) kills bed bugs and eggs on contact. Spray it on bed frames, mattresses, etc. I've done tremendous research on bed bugs and never heard cedarcide works. Since you can use it on your skin, it's worth a try to avoid bites.
The larger problem with bed bugs is that they and their eggs are difficult to find/see and you can carry them into your home without knowing it.
You should heat treat ALL items immediately when you get home for a minimum of 30 minutes (for dry items) or 2 hours (for wet items). (Dryer on High Heat) High heat kills bugs and eggs. For anything you can't fit in a dryer use the alcohol spray.
Bed bugs are no joke and cost an arm and a leg to get rid of once they are in your home.

- Some floor or hand-held steamers MAY also be able to be used on bedding. Bissell is just one brand that might be considered. I'd want to read more but have heard that claim by some sellers of steamers on HSN, etc.
But, there can be a lot of water that shoots out in the steam so that is to be considered.
Google search: steamer, bed bugs
Another MCS note, rubbing alcohol (due to the petroleum in it) can also worsen MCS. Best if anyone with MCS has someone else do this if using rubbing alcohol.
Even a whiff can knock out someone with MCS for days. The residue can also be problematic for MCS as even after the alcohol dissipates, some petroleum residue can be left behind. -

Orange Guard kills all bugs on impact, and is also my chosen tick repellent. It's derived from oranges, has a nice orange smell. I have had severe MCS and have been able to handle its smell.
