I thought you just might find this article interesting. Most LLMDs try to get us on a gluten-free dairy free diet to begin with to fight this disease. But the truth is it's overall healthier diet for anyone that has nothing wrong with them.

I still see a lot a people on Lyme forums saying that gluten-free diet is not necessary for everyone. After reading this article, for those of you thinking that this, the article may change your mind.

http://www.naturalawakeningsmag.com/Natural-Awakenings/September-2012/Banishing-Wheat-Belly/

Nightline had a special saying a lot of the Olympians are on gluten-free diets for better energy, you can see that video here. A doctor came on and said it lacks fiber. And another said there's no conclusive evidence that it's healthier, sound familiar, just like there's no such thing as chronic Lyme because there is no official evidence? At least that doctor said we shouldn't be eating it. The fiber comment is ridiculous, you can get fiber from gluten-free oats, fruits and vegetables. And I love how he said the manufacturers fortify vitamins and minerals in their wheat. Sounds like he could be a spokesperson for the companies.

This is what I think, after experience it for myself having Lyme disease. Any time I eat foods with gluten I get severe headaches immediately, fatigue, blurred vision and have to lay down. When I go on gluten-free diet, I feel 10 times better. And if the celebs/rich people/olympians are doing it, um yeah I think there's something to it.

Also recently had a family member get constant stomach aches, he has to stick to the gluten-free diet to prevent them.

Here's another article to read too. talking about gluten as a GMO grain - http://i49.tinypic.com/29l23x1.jpg

Also like to repost a link to AuntyLynn's thread about a new GMO documentary coming out - http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/3/30848?#000000

Going on a gluten-free dairy free diet along with buying a singleserve blender like I stated in this article here, can be a dynamite combination to fight disease off. Blending up all those vegetables and fruits into a cup make it so much easier to receive vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. I mean if you listen to what Dr. H, Dr. Burrascano, Dr. K say, diet is very important.

And I'd also like to say these doctors aren't talking about eating the gluten free foods that have lots of sugars in them such as cookies, chocolate, etc....

I've been gluten free for about 6 yrs. A lot of my muscle aches and pain went away after going GF, not to mention the improvement in my digestive tract.

Many years ago, wheat only contained 3% gluten, now it is 50%. Big difference.

Not so much about gluten but gliadin, not about those with celiac or gluten-sensitivity (as they must avoid all gluten and I think everyone with lyme should, too) but this information is for EVERYONE.
