New test was just released in Europe by Boulder Diagnostics, supposedly being able to test all stages of Lyme disease. This can't be shocking news for head ILADS doctors such as Dr H, Dr B, etc...

I want to know what they think about it, because it is very important obviously. If this test can detect chronic lyme infection, how can these doctors turn us away anymore? thus may result in getting insurance coverage on the drugs we need: IVs etc... possibly disability too...

After reading on the Lyme Net Europe forum and getting some updated statistics from Dr. MacDonald himself, it seems as though Germans have had better testing, since 1 million new cases of Lyme borreliosis were recorded for their calendar year of 2012, stats are from German Borreliosis Society and Dr Armin Schwartzbach. Or could be just that their data collecting is more organized, we all know that most of us never get counted in statistics over here in the US.

ESTIMATES for China are between 20,000 to 30,000 new cases of Lyme Borreliosiis annually [ with statements that the true numbers of Chinese cases is, like in the USA a ten to 20 fold multiple of the ESTIMATED NUMBERS.
