No power here since 7:30 Friday night. Over 2 feet of snow where we are on the CT shore.
Luckily my hubby is the night manager for the Inn next door and they are on a different grid that never lost power, so we're camping there for the time being. Warm & safe, I just have to figure out how to keep my two kids busy in this hotel room!

BRRRR, munchin!! My biggest fear is losing power during an ice storm here. Have escaped so far and been here 16 yrs.
A few years ago, those south of us about 10 miles lost power for up to 3 weeks in the freezing cold. Much of that area was rural though. At least we live near a town...very near.

yes brrr and I was scared thinking it could be a few days.it made me think of folks like that who have lost power in the winter for long periods of time. We take so much for granted.
not waking up to coffee was a bummer

many of the sandy ppl are living in tents still and nemo hit them
it is beautiful here but snow ending in rain tomorrow and then 5 degrees at night so they are warning us to get snow off the roofs.
the wind was different this time and most of my roofs only have about 4-6 inches...but in one spot where they come together there is over 2 feet. if that gets rained on it really could collapse...i went out twice today to rake it off
i will go out one more time...i hope i dont hurt my shoulder...it is so much better. everything is easier this time cuz i paid the plow guys kids to clear off the patios so i can get close enough to the roof without walking in hip deep snow.
