In 1 3/4 ounces of olive oil, add 20 drops of Rosemary oil, 20 drops of Lavender oil, 10 drops of Tea Tree oil, 5 drops of clove oil, 20 drops of Neem oil. Shake well.
Orange oil may, also, be added. I am now using Pine Needle essential oil instead of Tea Tree oil.
This makes a great insect repellent that we use on ourselves, dogs, as well as, the chickens. It is totally safe and works very well.

I like Orange Guard, from oranges, also known as TKO Orange in concentrate form. The former can be found at healthfood stores and hardware stores, and the latter online.
I put a little bit in a spray bottle, fill with water, and spray on clothing, immediate environment, and can be lightly misted/sprayed on dog and cat fur, the concentrate folks said, in addition to what they get through the vet and petstore.
Then other essential oils for skin.

Now that I have become aware, I wish I could make sure to never let a bug bite any of us ever again.
I used to think Mosquitos were harmless but annoying, now I know better!
We actually have four ponds, but the frogs and dragon flies do such a good job that we have less mosquitos then our friends with no ponds.
Last year was the first time in my life I ever saw a tick. Now I'm super worried that each year we can expect more!
