Just saw something on the Discovery channel on "America's Super Secret Structures" and they did a bit on Plum Island, Operation Paperclip, and Eric Traub.
Okay, previously I thought people who said lyme was an engineered conspiracy--I thought they were 'overzealous". Now, I think there is something to this.

i just listened to alan macdonald you tube tape in another thread on here. in it he mentions a tick from plum island. its the first time ive heard a real scientist give credance to the theory

as for the current bug-one good thing is it doesnt go from person to person. it is from feces on vegetables. (nice thought huh? ) same bug as "travelers diarehea...so they need to find where it is coming from but we dont have to worry about it spreading in crowds or hospitals or nursing homes....etc so could be worse

lp, surely you don't believe it, because they say it doesn't go from person to person or any other claim they make. They believe the public is better off not knowing the truth.

Lie to the masses! No, our health powers wouldn't do that?

Ran into a lady at church who just got over that bug. Was sick for two weeks. Said it started with a sore throat.

While the Plum Island thing may be real, Lyme started WAY WAY before that.

If this is a puzzling new disease how can they say how it's spread!

I was at the opthalmologist's office today reading a Dec. 2010 issue of Discover magazine about climate change. Interesting that three years ago scientists were warning that tropical diseases were going to hit us due to everything warming up. I believe many people are going to fall through the cracks and are going to find themselves in the same boat as people with Lyme complex.
