The person who started it may well be very credible but it's just so hard to know - or anticipate other factors.

Best to check with the top lyme advocacy organizations to see if they support this one.
So often, the wording (or other elements) of these can backfire. I'd start by alerting Lyme Disease.org to this and see if they recommend it.

Often, Lyme Disease.org will sponsor petitions so I know they are fully "vetted"

Some of the top advocacy / education / liason groups:

Lyme Disease.org - http://www.lymedisease.org

ILADS - www.ilads.org

Lyme Disease ASSOCIATION - http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Tick-Borne Disease Alliance - http://tbdalliance.org

Lyme Research Alliance - http://www.lymeresearchalliance.org/

They certainly need to be investigated!

Awesome Beaches! This is so easy for all of us to do. There is even a letter attached for us to send to our senators, governors and more! This would be better in Medical so more people can see it and contact their senators at the very least.
