You have to be VERY careful not to inhale it!! VERY fine powder.
Most people give their pets a tsp or so on their food. Mix it in. Be sure it is food grade.
I don't think it works as a deterrent but you can spread it on carpet and lawns to kill the fleas and ticks. It is NOT a poison. Google it so you have all the info you need.
I haven't heard of anyone putting it on their bodies.

I've thrown it on my ducks to kill fleas and such, avoiding their heads.
Our family eats it regularly to detox and keep intestinal parasites away.

Do not breathe it in.
I take a few tsps. a day with water and drink it for yeast, parasites, and to detox. It is not a cure-all and sometimes I need something stronger for the parasites.
I do take it at least an hour away from meds or supplements.
If you spread it inside your house it is a good flea/tick deterrent and may kill them if they get it on their bodies or ingest it. However, you should not leave it where you can breathe it in.

A local place sells this stuff,,,and YES its all food grade.
Last time I was in that place of business the front door hallway was packed so full of packages waiting for the UPS guy to show up to take them away.
they said that is a daily occurrence. There were so many dont know if a common truck you see on the street is LARGE enough.
I bought a 50# bag of it,,,I was planning on spreading it around my house to kill creepy crawly insects ,,,but we were going thru a rain every day spell
And never got it done later. I would 'think' a flour sifter would be the right tool for the job.
IF it didnt go thru a sifter a strainer for pasta would work too if you moved fast.
If any one needs a link to their site,,it is a great info resource last time I saw it anyway.
It tells many different uses including eating it for the internal parasites.

I bought this book, just in the last month on Amazon for $4.99 I believe. "Naturally Healthy Living with Diatomaceous Earth"
Mother Earth's Best Kept Secret!
by LA Nicholas, PH.D.
Put it in shaker bottle yesterday and had my husband go around all the landscaping and against the brick wall outside to keep bugs at bay.
We have little millipeds, silver fish pests and if we don't keep killer down around our patio home, I freak out when I see that 1000 legs running across my house.
So I'm anxious to see if this stuff work like Sevin.
I'm also going to start using it internally daily like I was when I bought it 6 mths ago. This book is full of uses and explains dos and don'ts.

I put some in an empty spice shaker bottle. Keep it in the kitchen and when any of those big black ants show up....
we have fun powdering them! Its funny watching them after they are covered in DE - they go off wandering around instead of heading straight for home again.
I like that its non toxic and can be used around the house.
