Hello,
Has anyone else had this problem? I have my settings such that I get an email notification when people send me a Private Message.

The email always contained a link, and I would have to click the link and then login with my password to be able to read the message.

However, recently I notice that the full texts of Private Messages sent to me are appearing in my email, WITHOUT me having clicked on the link, and WITHOUT me being logged in to LymeNet.

Has anyone else had this problem? and if so, are the moderators aware that it's going on? Thanks for any help.

Elena

That is always the way it has been for me. Message in the email, no link to click.

If you don't want it done this way, change your setting on lymenet, so you have to come here and log in.

Ever since I have been a member, the email message contains the content of the PM.

Hmmm... I did find a link! I never use it, though!

It says "click here" in blue.

If you go back to some old Emails, you'll see the PM relpy was always within the PM Email.

Here's one example from 2011 - Lymetoo to me>

Private Message Notification
Lymetoo just sent you (steve1906) a Private Message at LymeNet Flash.

You are being notified because you are have instructed us to send you a notification each time someone sends you a private message. You can disable this automatic notification in your profile settings on the board.

Here is the message sent by Lymetoo:

Subject: Need a little help
--------------------------------------------------

Here is Lymetoo ans.... OK..I'll pass the information along!!

-------------------------------------------------

To view this private message, click here.

Please do not reply to this email. The person sending you the private email did not send this notification. To reply to the private message, you must do so from the message board.

So I guess nothing has changed. Maybe we just never noticed it!!!

Steve
