It was very interesting and telling (on a world-wide platform) that while the family was discussing Jep's recent brush with death that the dad, Phil, kept saying, repeatedly, that whatever Jep had was caused by ticks and/or mosquitoes.

Although Lyme or co-infections weren't mentioned specifically, Phil did say there were numerous diseases transmitted through the bites.
