I just got a prescription for LDN. I asked for 1 mg to start, but when I got it in the mail, it is for 4.5 mg. Can I cut these? They are in capsule form. There is no way I am going to start out at 4.5 mg.

- There is a way to put them into a liquid - I think I used a good almond oil and then did drops.
After taking it that way, though, be sure to fully rinse your mouth. As I recall, it was a bit irritating to mouth tissue.
Call your pharmacy but also check out the LDN website. I'll see if I can find that.
Call the pharmacy where you got them but don't just stop there. They may not have the correct answer for you.
I cannot remember the issue I had with this but the pharmacist said he had NEVER had anyone else have that reaction. Turns out, I found out that I was not the only one by scouting around. But I cannot recall what that was, just that this was not for me.
Good that you are not starting on full dose. -

- The titles of the threads below may be a bit off-putting yet they offer a range of experiences by some here. If you know that some had a certain reaction, you can then do things to help prevent (in some cases).
LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone
This is not a comprehensive set of LDN links, for that, search the archives (and at the site for "The Better Health Guy" a lyme site). But this is a set that I started building for myself when I was considering it (and decided instead to employ Medical Mushrooms and their immune support):
