For some reason it won't let me copy and paste the article site - so go to Psychology Today, Toni Bernard and her 7 pet peeves about doctors.

Here are the 7 pet peeves - she goes into detail if you open the link:
1. Doctors who rush through my appointment after I’ve waited at least a half hour in the examining room.

2. Doctors who tell me that a new symptom cannot possibly be a side-effect of a medication, even though studies have not ruled it out. Testify!

3. Doctors who don’t adequately explain why they’re ordering a particular treatment or test.

4. Doctors who don’t listen. Puh-lease.

5. Doctors who aren’t interested in my medical problems unless they’re within the particular doctor's area of specialization. Hello? McFly!

6. Doctors who scold me for using the internet to research my symptoms. Uhh yeah

7. Doctors' offices that are so cold, I feel as if I should have worn a down jacket and lined boots. Hello! We live in Vay Gahs and when it's one of Milton's levels of Hell outside and you need gloves, parka, snow boots in the drs. office . . .

Thanks TC! Whenever I put it in the site kept telling me parenthesis were not acceptable.

But there were no parenthesis in the link!

this reminds me of my son's recent dr apt..... he is a teen. losing hair. dermatologist was very nice and is at the top of his field. waited months to get in. he recommended several blood tests and then mentioned a certain one that

"isn't necessary" because the disease it picks up is so rare in people his age....

ummm... ok.... so what if he is one of those rare ones???!!!

I didn't have the energy to argue.
