These are the Lyme Cryme people who keep talking about how OspA is a fungal antigen and it's an "immunosuppresive" disease.
The thing that bothers me about this is that these two women really think they've got it all figured out and they're misleading the public -- especially those who are trying to get better.
Half of it I suppose is factual -- the weird criminal behavior of the people who were supposed to be figuring it out. That part is true. It's probably also true that OspA is confusing to the immune system but that is such a simplistic statement and doesn't come near the whole story.
But the other part is NOT true. Lyme is not immunosuppressive. It's inflammatory. The "post-sepsis" argument is misleading and implies that if you just injected everyone with interleukin 2 they would be cured.
These people really annoy me. They really make us all look like we have no idea what we're talking about and Lyme patients are not qualified to comment on their own disease.
