Hi all. I have a friend currently living in the Arlington, Va. area. She needs a good internist to give her a complete checkup.

She has high blood pressure and is on medication for that, but I believe there are lots of other things wrong with her. I was with her over the weekend and I and my husband saw a person who is NOT in good health. (Her thyroid was removed many years ago. She has been on thyroid meds ever since.) She needs checked for diabetes, proper amt of blood pressure meds, proper amt of thyroid meds, etc.

She is not from the U.S. and is just here for a number of more months. She doesn't know the good doctors in her area.

Please give me a few names of really good internists who will work hard to figure out all that is wrong with this lady.

I am NOT looking for a lyme doctor for her, just a very good physician who is good at finding everything that might be making a person not feel well.

Thanks much.
