There have been only 3 or 4 inquiries in the past 30 days.

The "Seeking a Doctor" board has 8 " Important Topics" (with red icons)
to be read and followed before one can properly post an inquiry about finding a doctor. Most of those are quite long and restrictive.

I think that is very intimidating and off-putting if one is looking for help.

Maybe someone could review those "Topics" and perhaps consolidate them into fewer and shorter rules and regs.

Those highlighted posts have been there for years. Our overall numbers are down, so the number of people asking for help is down.

Most are going to Facebook for help.

I have nothing against fixing it, but it might take more time than it's worth.

Thanks for the heads up.

I don't belong to any facebook lyme groups but do belong to the Trying Low Ox group.

The thing about fb is that unless you create and alias your name is attached to your health issues.

The search function on fb is awful I dont know if this is specific to the OX group or what.

My point is that if lyme fb groups function anything like trying low ox, this website blows away anything fb offers.

Thanks for keeping it alive!

You are right, terv! I'm on that one also ... along with MANY other groups. I don't belong to any Lyme groups on FB.

It really IS hard to search on FB .. it's better if you use your computer. At least to me, it's easier then.

You are so right about LN not needing your real name in order to post. That is pretty valuable.

I have to say, I recently started jioning the FB groups on all the tick stuff and I think I find it a lot of time wasted becasue most people on those pages seem to be very newly DX or at least not knowing much OR they tend to be so diverse in views it is mind boggling for someone with neuro issues, like me.

I predict that lymenet will get busier in the future. [Wink]
