Ak .. you need to have someone over to assess your mold situation. The company that made the mess needs to be held responsible.

Your health is at stake. [Frown]

An OCC team member bought more supplies for the pencil packs, so we will have about 7-8 more boxes.

God is good!!!

We ate lunch via Chili's carry out and then I trimmed back a few plants that are either half-dead or dead. I'm hoping my morning glory will bloom one more time before freezing back.

I went to church via zoom.

Did a load of laundry.

Cut back some perennials. My forsythia is blooming in this warm weather.

Dropped off a book at the library and picked up 2 more.

Called mom. She sounded a bit better today but I know that will fluctuate.

Tomorrow I need to get back on my regular exercise plan. But not today.

a condo is coming open at the Mennonite condo community just down the street for me. Two bedroom and no basement.. I looked at the outside today and there are a lot of steps to get into the front door and the driveway is really steep which doesn’t thrill me with my balance issues. I already want to change all of the landscaping.

Lady who lives there will move in early December and they always like to fix up the place before they show it. I’d rather see it when it’s not fixed up because I want some input. By the time it’s ready to be moved into it would be February. So I need to prayerfully think about this. Of course I need to see it before I make any decisions.

Have a good week. [Cool]

Today I made meatloaf, boxed organic mac and cheese for dinner. Already made broccoli salad yesterday. My meatloaf came out so so. I put too many beef boullion cubes so it was a bit salty for me but Mom and Josh liked it. Also I added too much milk and crushed cracker crumbs so it was a bit mushy.

Outside of getting dinner ready and cleaning up had a relaxing day.

My new air ionizer/ozone machine wasn't working right since it arrived five days ago and today while following the troubleshooting steps with an Amazon rep it gave up the ghost completely. So I'm taking it to UPS tomorrow and I'm getting my $250 back.

So I've been looking for a new one online.

TuTu I wish we used a company that worked on our AC before but we used my brother's niece's boyfriend. I noticed a smell last year and this year it was worse. When I mentioned it to him he said he checked but couldn't find any issues.

So we had professional AC guys check and the other guy elevated a pipe on bricks that made the water stay in the coils! They could not believe it! All we could afford is new duct work, a pump for the water and an emergency shut off switch.

That alone was $4200 without a new AC unit. A new unit is $7000. Hence trying to find an air purifier that gets rid of mold.

I need a miracle!

Hiker please keep us in the loop in regards to the condo. Would a ramp be feasible instead of all the stairs? Driveway might be a problem if you have to walk down to get mail or take out trash. I'm sure that could be worked out with landscaping. Praying for you!

Back to looking for ionizer/purifiers.

I slept in again. Have been so exhausted lately.

I did my knee exercises.

I took a short walk and took pictures of the front of the condo I will look at when the lady moves. Probably not the right one for me, but won’t hurt to look.

My kind neighbor in back of me mowed my back yard and bagged the leaves after she did her yard. My sweet gum still has a lot of leaves clinging but that was a start.

The front and sides of my house have a ton of leaves from the neighbors but I will wait to hire someone to rake them. Need a few days without so much wind. My shoulder just isn’t up to the repetitive motion of raking.

I worked on Bible study. We finished the first half of Daniel and are now going to do a 4 week study on Esther and then return to finish Daniel in January or February.

So many gals in our Bible study travel in November and December that we normally don’t do a study then. But this year with Covid fewer are traveling and we decided to do the short study.

I need to take the garbage and recycling down to the curb.

AK-Sure hope you can find a way to get rid of that mold.

Tutu-Way to go on the OCC boxes!

Today was errand day. Outside of that I didn't do to much. Bought some more activated charcoal and a premixed bentonite clay liquid to take and try to detox mold. Also ordered another air purifier. Hope this one will at least work. It was cheaper too and was recommended by the Breathe Quality website.

Hiker wouldn't hurt to check out the condo. On the other hand your neighbors are incredible! I dread raking too but this year our lawn guy will continue through the winter. He's just going to use the mower to get the leaves so that'll leave me the acorns and limbs and sticks. Hoping I won't have to work as much!

Off to read my book on toxicity!

Hiker .. you have every right to be tired. You've been through a lot.

AK .. Maybe you can get them to clean the coils? Just hope it works out for you. Mold issues are just horrid.

We got our back room all cleaned out at church. I had lots of help this morning and boxes and assorted items were put in the attic for next year.

We added 6 more shoe boxes to our count, so we have 327. I may still receive two more boxes from friends. One for sure. The other one may go to her church.

This year seemed especially gratifying for me .. I would think for all of us who worked on it. God was with us. Besides that, we had a blast!

I came home and pruned one of my plants that will die soon. It needed to be taken care of. We will have temps around 34 degrees tonight. I'll take my impatiens inside so they can live another week.

I have pansies out there too. I had hoped that my morning glory would bloom one more time because I have so many buds that are about to open! BUT ... it's been too cool for them.

See ya later!

I went to the ENT this morning. When I came out there were 50 mile an hour winds and I was struggling to walk to my car. A nice young gal came by and took my arm to give me some support. Expecting severe thunderstorms soon.

After two years and four months my miracle ear tube is still in place although he didn’t feel it would last much longer.

I did my balance exercises this afternoon and threw in some step ups on the stairs and partial squats. I really need to strengthen my body as I was very embarrassed this morning.

I was on the phone quite a bit exercising my lips. Hospice followed up to see how I was doing and I suggested they call my mom. I called mom.

Then I was dealing with the hospital that my dad was in and the clinic that my mom goes to getting the bills switched so they will go to my brother. At first they wanted me to change my mom’s address at the post office but we only want the bills going to my brother not all of her mail.

And just like that the day is about over.

Cut Mom's and my own hair today. Much easier to cut hers and it looks better! Went to my friend's house and borrowed her Mom's wheelchair for my Mom's appointment tomorrow in Atlanta.

My little Mom is too weak to walk very far and the hospital is huge.

TuTu we're on the same wavelength in regards to cleaning the AC coils. Also looking at some UV lights to install inside the ductwork by the coils. Congratulations on all the hard work for OCC! Hope your plants do well!

Hiker glad your ear is OK for now. I need to start working out too. I stopped after hurting my back this summer installing the French drain in the yard. I'm losing so much muscle! Speaking of needing help, I'm constantly surprised when asked if I need help with my groceries! Getting older has some perks!

Well, need to have an early night. Heading to Atlanta at 8:30.

See you guys tomorrow!

I used to have a UV light, AK. I still think they work. My new AC guy couldn't retrofit my old one to fit the new unit and he claimed they don't work. I think they help!!

Best of luck to you and your mom tomorrow!! Praying!!

I have a UV light on my furnace so the light kills germs and mold spores that run through the furnace. I know hospitals use UV light to sterilize surfaces.

I went grocery shopping this morning. Was disappointed that they were out of several things that just went on sale but I probably won’t go back these week.

I did my knee exercises.

Walked by the condo I am interested in again. The garage door was open so I could see into it. Ran into a few people who live in the condos there and they said this condo has a big kitchen, but with my balance and the steep driveway and gadzillon stairs from mailbox to front porch, I will probably pass on it. But I do want to see it when it is ready to be shown.

Furnace maintenance man came today to check everything. Just in time for the cooler weather. I had my winter jacket, cap, and gloves on for my walk.

AK-pray you had a safe trip and your mom’s results will show no cancer. The hardest part is waiting for the results, I am sure.

Have a good evening.

Hiker .. the right condo will come along. I think this one is for you to compare to the one God has reserved for you.

AK .. Still praying for your mom!

I am exhausted too. Drove the 2 hours to Arkansas to get my new crown. Oh joy. Everything went well.

I came home and then made a quick trip to the store.

We left at 7:30 and I am just now finishing my supper. I could go to bed right now, but I know I would be awake at 2 or 3 am!!

We started working at putting the shower in the upstairs bathroom this week. What a challenge!

The walls weren't straight and neither did they line up - there was no door because of that.

So we tore out the walls and now the floor isn't level, so need to level it in order to put the shower in.

I think they have all the pipes /plumbing figured out even if its not hooked up yet. That was a challenge too.

The stud walls are built to put on either side of the shower, but waiting to put them in until the floor is leveled.

Daughter & ran errands this afternoon. Picked up some parts at the hardware store for the bathroom project, went to the bank & post office, got a few groceries.

Want to do some more cooking / baking for Thanksgiving ahead of time. Planning to have Make Ahead Butterhorns, a recipe from Taste of Home. They are a family favorite.

Should do a few loads of laundry tonight in case they get to the water pipes in the bathroom tomorrow. It will effect my laundry when they turn the water off.

Had rain all day yesterday, cloudy this AM and the sun came through again this afternoon. It feels cooler today and the furnace is running more.

Manname-Home projects never go as planned. And they take 29 trips to the hardware store. Good luck!

I did my balance exercises.

Went to Dollar General to grab some Christmas cards. I will give half to my mom when I take her to the MD if Illinois isn’t locked down again by then.

Cooked pork loin and made cranberry sauce. I love cranberries.

Wrote a poem.

Have a good evening and a great Friday.

Today is my Mom's 89th birthday! The whole family gathered minus 2 members for a store bought variety cheesecake and coffee.

We all sat outside at least 6 feet apart and wore masks except while eating and drinking.

So I ran errands picking up the cheesecake and paperplates, paper cups and napkins.

Also swept out the carport and set up TV trays and chairs.

TuTu that must be one awesome dentist! Thank you so much for the prayers!

Manna I agree with Hiker in regards to multiple trips to the hardware store. It can seem never ending! Good luck with the baking and bathroom remodel.

Hiker sounds like you had a perfect day! I envy your homemade cranberry sauce! Sounds so delicious!

Well....getting tired so calling it a night!

Ak--It's been a long time since I have had cheesecake. Sounds delicious and a great way to celebrate your mom's birthday.

Tutu--I don't envy your dental trips but glad all went well.

I did my knee exercises.

Went to chiropractor and have been pretty lazy since then so adjustment holds.

I tried to take a nap but couldn't sleep.

I have a new James Patterson book, so will curl up on the couch with it tonight.

Hi, gang!!

I'm glad your mom was able to celebrate her birthday, AK!! I saw that cheesecake and was envious. (however, I did get some today)

Hiker .. The dentist is internationally known. He's pretty good and I trust him. My only beef with his office is that his wife works in the office and always has two dogs there.

Dogs are fine. I love dogs, but they run smelly fragrance due to the dogs. When I have an appointment, they shut off the smelly stuff in the waiting area and get me to the back right away.

Thank goodness for all of that, or I would quit him.

Ran some errands this afternoon. I need a nap! LOL

I slept in my own room last night which turned out to be a big mistake. Mold on the window so I was stuffed up today and with a headache and puffy face!

So it's back to the guest room for me! Other than that just vegged out today.

Hiker nothing better than to curl up with a new book. I'm still slogging through my ebook on toxicity. I was in a reading rut for years before and just read spiritual and self-help books. Now I read all kinds of books! Enjoy you book!

TuTu soon as I logged on here and saw the posts about the cheesecake I went straight to the fridge and cut a slice in half and wolfed it down. I'm so glad I gave most of it away! 3 slices went with my SIL and 2 went home with Josh. In regards to your dentist, I wouldn't be able to tolerate the air freshener either. I react strongly to plug-ins too!

See everyone tomorrow!

Talked on the phone with my SIL this morning and with a friend this afternoon.

Emailed back and forth with 2 friends pretty often today, So exercised my fingers!

Got the washing done & dried, but not all of it folded & put away.

Got two batches of Butterhorns mixed up in the bread machine this afternoon. Shaped & baked them and after they cooled, packed them in bags to freeze until Thanksgiving day.

You can shape and freeze them unbaked also, then bake them just before serving them. But I will have too much that needs to go in the oven to have space for baking that many rolls that day.

Hubby and the children worked at the upstairs bathroom all day. I wasn't up to look at it this evening yet.

Manna-you must be having quite the Thanksgiving meal if you are already making the rolls. Let me know what time dinner will be served,! [Big Grin]

I did a load of laundry this morning.

Did my balance exercises.

Cooked my healthy lunch of salmon, asparagus and sweet potato.

Chilly and wind advisory out, so I am spending more time inside. Watching the Illini-Rutgers game that I taped now.

Will binge watch FBI tonight. Have 3 hours left from spring and new season starts this week. Guess I am exercising my eyeballs but not my brain today. [Roll Eyes]

Hiker, we'll be having a total of 24 people for Thanksgiving dinner. Two of my brothers & their families are coming. That is counting us too. Dinner is at 12, so come on over! I'm sure we could squeeze one more in!

Did a few more loads of laundry. Got it all folded and into the laundry baskets. Now each person can put their own clothes away.

Got a few more boxes emptied. The dining room has more open space. We're getting there! Daughter was going through her decorations and getting things looking pretty.

Two of the boys went for supplies and parts for the bathroom after lunch. They got back just before supper.

Now they are working up in the bathroom, using some of their new tools.

Daughter wants to bake pumpkin cookies tonight.

I cooked 3 huge sweet potatoes and mashed them, now I should have enough for Thanksgiving dinner.

In one of the boxes I emptied this afternoon, I found a book I never finished reading - so tomorrow afternoon I've got a new book to read!
