Interesting stuff! Especially agree with walking away from that type of doctor/patient relationship.

Oh gosh - it used to go on all the time. Even when I had finally found out about Lyme, was on clindamycin, in no pain anymore and was herxing, the doctor sent out for an ELISA test. It came back negative and he said I didn't have Lyme. Ha. I had 4 positive bands on the prior IGeneX test. I blasted him! He left the room and I went out and educated his staff.

I've been known to make appts with docs and when they start to say there's no Lyme in California, they find themselves holding 10 different Lyme brochures that I hid under my coat. Two of them are from the CA DPH!!

The doc usually leaves the room and I go out and educate the staff!

Too bad we still have to pay for that visit!
I love that you educate the staff. I hope it is about how un-aware and uneducated the doctor is as well as all about tick-borne diseases.

Feels good to say "You're fired!"

I had a negative doctor visit years ago when I was first diagnosed with Lyme.

Told the Dr he was WRONG to say I didn't have it and that Dr C of MO was a quack.

WRONG .. very WRONG!

I walked out and told the nurse I was not paying for that. He said, "There's no charge."

Later my husband called the doctor and chewed his butt.
